Workin at Lunch- 06.12.12

Good afternoon,

Today, I was able to finish up the two platoons of M4A3 (late) Sherman tanks and my Abrams in his Easy Eight.  I got most of the work done just before work over the past two days and during lunch today.  It is humid as all get out so priming models is a no go for the next few days.  Tomorrow, I hope to get all of the .50Cal MGs drilled and into place before I try to prime these bad boys.  If things go right, I should be able to apply my new US Armour Wash to these guys and have them table ready in no time!

Playin' at Lunch- 06.08.12

Today, I got to roll some Dice with Bruce.  We played an 825 point game and had some fun.  We had to wait until the work day was over to finish it but in the end, it came down to one of my infantry platoons shooting down some of his German Grenadiers as they charged into combat on turn 5.  When they died, it would have forced a Company Morale but his Commander and 2iC were both dead.  I tried to take pictures for a battle report so they didn't look so hot.  Anyone have any input for taking picutres of a battlefield for a battle report?

Cheers,
Jordan

6th June- D-Day

Hey Guys,

First off, it's D-Day.  68 years later, we remember all those men and women who died in the Allies' charge into France.  With that being stated, its Flame of War time.  Today, I didn't get a lot done, I had to squeeze in a bit of work during that hour but, I still got some done.  I got 2 57mm gun crews and 2 M1 3inch gun crews mounted on their bases and ready for priming.  I also got the 6 jeeps all based up and the magic mix is drying now.  I also started working on the M1 90mm AA cannons but there was a load of flash on the base of the gun so that took up most of my time.  I also go the last wash put onto the base for my test bazooka team but right now, it's still drying.  No pictures today as its still a lot of sliver!

Until tomorrow!

Lunch Work- D-1 Day!

Good afternoon,

First up, Happy Anniversary to my lovely Bride!  Two years and two great kids down, 48 years to go.  Today, between a bit of time before work and lunch, I got my Jeeps almost all done.  I have some detail work on the guns and some touch ups on the crew.  Next us will be the decals followed by some basing and weathering.  I also got the wash on Patton's M20- I got an extra drop of green in it so he looks like a Vietnam era vehicle.  I also got a bazooka team based and washed as my 'test' team.  And you can see some of my AT gun teams- I got those built yesterday and the blister pack are the guys I got cleaned today.

Thanks again guys!

Workin' Lunch- 06.04.12

Hang on readers.  I would say, 4 out of 5 work days in a week, I stay in during my lunch and Hobby.  It can be on everything from my 4th AD, my Super Secert FOW Ninja protect, Death Guard for 40k, Allies for Dust, or what ever other random project I feel like working on.  Those above four have been the focus of late.  So my new goal is this:  During Lunches that I hobby, I will try and post a pic of whatever I did that day.  If I run out of time to snap a picture, I will at least put down what I have done.  This way, I can feel like I am making a bit more progress.

So, here is day one.  Monday the 4th, one day until D-1 and my 2nd wedding anniversary.  I didn't pick that day intentionally, it just fell into place.  So for today, I got the following done:

-6 US Jeeps washed with my American Armour Wash.
-Built 2 gun crew for a M5 3in gun.
-Built 2 gun crew for a 57mm gun.
-Primed two platoons of Engineers in British Armour Italy Spay as well as my CC and 2iC.

On, and on the screen today was the last part of the classic, The Longest Day.

WTF? May?!?!

Hey guys,

So May was one of the hardest months of my life.  With people being put into the ER and other passing away, it was a bear of a month.  However, on the plus side the month is over and my American's made it onto the FOW site.

My Army list can be found HERE.  Just scroll down a bit!

My 4th American Armor Division can be seen HERE!

Some Battle shots can be seen HERE.

Overall, I am happy with the way that the Sherman tanks turned out.  I was trying out something new with some pigment powders and it was heavier then I was expecting.  With all that said, it is a good little list and I am happy to have it done.  Painting those models did get me really excited to work on my American Army but I will not be making the list I had planned on.  The new list is a Super Secret Level 3 Ninja project.  But, keep tuned in and I will show off some of my new platoons as I get them painted.
